quick question on 9th edition

by jazzcat4u » Wed Aug 20, 2008 3:19 pm
so my test date is a month away, so far i've gone through all sections of the OG 11th edition and the OG Quant Review twice (also doing CAT practice tests and reviewing those). ill continue to review all this material until test date...especially the math problems, no matter how many times i go back to a difficult math problem even if ive already seen it, it amazes me how much i forget the math...

on verbal...i find that when i go back to the verbal section of OG 11, i either remember the passages/answers...so it doesnt help to go back unless im reviewing repeated errors or the explanation in the back of the book...

so my question is, i have an old OG 9th edition - can i use the verbal section of this book as good practice for the verbal...the math is too easy from the OG 9th ed, so i plan to ignore that, but is the verbal content still useful? im low on cash, so dont plan to buy the 10th edition or the verbal review but i just so happen to have the 9th ed as a hand-me-down...not sure if referring to old verbal questions from the 9th ed will hurt my prep or help it...appreciate any feedback from ppl who have used the 9th ed...

I am curious to see if anybody actually used 9th Edition during his preparation.
It was pre- Y2K era (before year 2000) I had a chance once to check 9th Edition but now I dont remember its content.
I am sure it'll be good as an extra material but certainly should NOT be taken as primary source of preparation.
Lots of things changed after 9th Edition.
I think back then there was no blod faced CR or double questions. The difficulty level has increase in both section I think....
