60 day study plan

by a.kim19 » Fri Feb 10, 2012 4:47 pm
Hello, all! I started following the 60 day study plan at the beginning of Feb. It has been a lot of help, but I feel like I can't finish all the tasks for the day in 1 day. I'm not sure if I should take the test at the end of March.I was planning to do that and then maybe if I wasn't happy I would take it again before the test changes on June 4th. I just graduated in December so I'm not really in a hurry but was worried the Integrated Reasoning section would be hard. I guess I spend a lot of time reviewing and learning the MGMAT material. I haven't been timing myself doing the OG 12 questions but I have been doing pretty well on the assigned questions of the day. I should timing myself to make sure I can solve them under 2 minutes, correct? Any advice would be appreciated!

Sincerely,

Albert

Hi Albert,

The first 2 weeks are pretty intense, and a lot of students struggle to keep up.
Don't worry though; on Day 42, you finish all of the content, and from there you keep practicing up until test day.
So, that 18-day buffer will give you some extra time to play with.

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent

Oh, I see. Thanks a lot for the info. When I practice the OG 12 questions after reviewing the concept material, should I be timing myself on the questions?

I think it's more important to learn (and practice) the concepts at the beginning, and then work on timing (once you've learned all of the concepts).

If you want, you can time yourself (to get a feel for what 2 minutes feels like), but don't rush yourself.
There will plenty of time to work on timing later on.

Cheers,
Brent
