If w, x and y are different positive integers, and wxy = 24, is xy divisible by 6?

(1) wy is not divisible by 6.

(2) x is even.

set your timer and try solving within 1 min first..

e ???

1. clearly ins as it doesn't address x
2. is a multiple of 2, but we don't know if necessary 3
1+2. we know xy has 2 but again know nothing about 3

1 is not sufficient
2 is not sufficient

1&2 together also is not sufficient

{wy = 3 x=8, example}

I do not study this hard

we factor the 24=2.2.2.3

for deviding problem, alway factor into primes

E is correct
