from 1 : X+Y < 20
From 2 : y<20

Subtract 2 from 1

X<0

Hence, x<20

Whats the OA?

IMO E.

Y could be both positive or negative.

For example:

x=25 y=-10, then x+y<20
x=15, y=1, then x+y<20

E for me as well

St 1 x+y<20

x=35, y=-18 x>20
x+y = 17<20

x=-25, y=7 x<20
x+y=-18<20------INSUFF

St 2 y<20
Same as one we can two situations----INSUFF

Combining 1&2
Same as St 1----INSUFF

Answer is E
