Hospitals,hvaing focused on supporting practioners from all fields of medicine are now striving

Hospitals have focused on supporting practioners from all fields of medicine, are now striving

Difference between both of these

Can you please explain why is A right and not B

Choice A should have a comma after medicine.

Hospitals,having focused on supporting practioners from all fields of medicine, are now striving.

To your question, A is correct because the "having focused" phrase is acting as a modifier to "hospitals". B is an example of what is called a run-on sentence, in which two independent clauses are seperated by a comma.

Well, B doesn't actually have two independent clauses. It has two main verbs for the same subject and we need a coordinating conjunction instead of comma to connect them.

yes this one I agree it does nt have independent clauses - had 2 verbs for 1 subject
