One school I am interested in applying to (Georgetown) allows candidates to initiate interviews prior to Dec. After Dec. all interviews are by invitation only.

Is there an advantage to intiating the interview, or would it be better to wait for the ADCOM to review my admission packet and (hopefully) invite me to an interview?

Initiating an interview will show that you are truly interested in the school as a top choice, not merely a backup. Be proactive if you really want to communicate that Georgetown is a top pick.
