I would welcome opinions on my chances of admission to the INSEAD 2011-2012 GEMBA (Global Executive) Programme (Abu Dhabi Campus). My profile is as follows:
- Mechanical Engineer with 9 years Environmental Consultancy Experience. My first 5 years were in Ireland and were technical/project focused. I moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) 4 years ago to a large multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. I lead the Environment arm of the business with approximately 30 staff and an annual turnover of circa US$4M. I work across UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. My time is split approximately 30/70 in terms of technical/management.
- GMAT 730 Verbal 98%, Quant 73%
- Graduated University College Dublin (Ireland) 1999 with 2.1 honours degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Graduated 2004 from same University with Masters in Engineering Science (research).
- Post MBA ambition is to leverage MBA experience and existing international experience to secure a senior general management role in consultancy in North America.
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Finally, I would like to thank all who actively contribute to this forum, it is an invaluable resouce for those considering an MBA.
