Gain one area, lose another?

I have studied everyday now for 2 months and it feels like once I get good in an area and move on to another area, then I move on to another area and I feel like I kind of atrophy in the area that I get good at?

For example, I was really good at VICS like 2 weeks ago, didn't touch it for a while and got tripped up on a few problems.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or do I have a memento like illness?

thanks

I don't think you're alone...It happens to me too...but I think there might be a way to solve it...
1) I've found "cross-studying" helps...For example, you study a concept to a problem but practice questions from another resource or mix some problems up...Sometimes when I'm not actively studying but I come across a GMAT problem and I have the urge to figure it out, I struggle with it and I tend to retain it better.

2) Somebody suggested copying all the concepts you were struggled with into a word file and keep reviewing it. The trick is never to get the same problem wrong twice.

Hope that helps.

Try to memorize key strategies for the different areas. Review those strategies before you do those questions.
