Depends on the purpose of your taking it. ;)
Some GMAT tutor take it occasionally & must have taken it 10 times.

Well I am not instructer yet :), but for person like me who is studying for GMAT and have not gotten the score which desired by me or that person.

If your purpose is to get into B-School, it's probably not a wise idea to be taking it that many times. 10 times is really a lot for a regular student wanting admission into a B-School. Try to stay below 5, ideally within 3.

If you're trying to obtain a higher score just for the hell of it--i.e. you have no intention of going to B-School--then you can take it however many times you want.

more than 3 is too much.

b-schools like to keep all doors open hence they would never put limit on # of GMAT attempts. so technically it's OK, but there's a glass ceiling (or glass wall :twisted: )
