If M and N are in the correct positions on the table I say that answer is E.

Are there any more numerical values in the table or only variables?

attached is the correct addition table .

The figure above shows two entries, indicated by m and n, in an addition table. What is the value
of n + m?
(1) d + y = -3
(2) e + z = 12

Answer C.

Given:
d+z= m
e+y=n
So, d+z+e+y=m+n

From i and ii,
d+y=-3
e+z=12

So, d+y+e+z=9

Thus, m+n=9
