(1) s and t are different numbers and equidistant from 0 , there is only one possibility, which is s = -t
SUFF

(2) INSUFF because we only know one number is positive and the other one is negative

OA is A..but in 2nd statment..it says 0 is between s & t ...that means 0 is the midpoint and it is as good as statemnet A.isnt it

it says 0 is between it need not be mid point.
For eg: s = -1 and t = 2; 0 is between s and t but not a midpoint.

Question can be rephrased as : Is |s| = |t| since its given s and t are 2 different numbers

Stmt I

|s-0| = |s| = |t-0|= | t|

SUFF

Stmt II

0 is between s and t

s=1000000 t=-1 NO
s=-5 t=+5 YES
