NEED URGENT HELP VERBAL

GMAT test 1: 39Q - 18V - IR 6
Gmat test 2 today: 42Q - 19V - IR 5

I spent 2 months of additional studying in between tests, scored OK in gmat practice tests...

19% is very low, as if I didn't study!

I don't get it and I am very disappointed. I usually never fail an exam twice... I had 3.7 GPA at York university in Toronto..

My goal is to get approx. 600 score.

Any advice? Should I take the test in 2 weeks or 1 month?

Hi gmat59,

These two GMAT scores are almost identical, which means that you approached the second GMAT in the same general ways that you approached the first GMAT.

With your score goal, you're going to have to improve 100 points or more. Considering how long you've studied already, that is not likely to happen in 2 weeks.

1) What resources have you used during your studies?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Thankfully, the GMAT is a predictable, standardized Test, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. You will have to make some significant adjustments to how you handle the Exam though and you will likely need to invest in some new resources.

Thank you Rich for your reply, much appreciated.

1) What resources have you used during your studies?
I have used Manhattan GMAT prep (read all books)
Also Gmat.com software

2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
By January 15th so it's very tight.

I have just booked again for December 5th.

What do you suggest me to do? Re-read the books? Do more CATs? Do more exercises?

Hi gmat59,

The OG 2016 is a great source for practice problems, but it's not designed to teach your Tactics, patterns or the 'secrets' of the GMAT. For all of those assets, you would likely find it beneficial to invest in a GMAT Course of some kind (either Guided Self-Study or Instructor-Led). Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at our site (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.
