Just starting my prep

by pcaleman » Mon Jul 30, 2012 6:18 pm
Hello guys, I'm really new here and would like to receive some help on my prep.

Let me tell you my plans. I have just graduated at Brazil and I'm looking for a Master Programme at Europe (Germany specially), as I'm too young (22 y. old) and without much work experience to take a MBA Programm.

Most of the Master programme I'm looking for asks about 550 as minimum score on GMAT, but I would like to score 650 on GMAT, which I think would be a good score for this kind of programme, as some people from there told me.

What would be a good prep strategy for my case? I'm planning to take the GMAT on December or the beginning of January, 2013.

I've already took the TOEFL and scored 98 iBt.

And there is one more problem. I'm from Brazil and the price of books here are outrageous so I can only buy 2 or three books. Which are the best ones?

Thank you! Regards!

It's great that you've given yourself 5+ months to prepare. All too often I meet students who waited too long and now have only a few days to prepare for this challenging test!

As far as prep strategies go, you might consider signing up for Beat the GMAT's free 60-Day Study Guide (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide). It will help keep you on track and ensure that you learn all of the concepts/skills that are tested on the GMAT.

Cheers,
Brent

Thank you for your advice Brent.

Let me ask you another thing... what do you think is better?

To take the Knewton Complete Prep + The Official Guide for Gmat Review

Or

The link you suggested me (GMAT's free 60-day Study Guide) + Manhattan Strategy Guide Set + Gmat Prep Now Complete Course?

Last thing, what do you think is the best free diagnosis test for GMAT?

Cheers, thanks for the help!
