let sd =x

so 58 + 2x = Mean

& 98 -2x = Mean (I assume that 98 is 2 sd above the mean coz if it one then the mean will not be an integer)

so 58 -2x =98 +2x

x =10

so mean =78

ans should be C

Hey Aditya,
now t will be

58 +2x =98 -3x

5x=40
x=8

so mean = 58 +16 =76
