Q1.

stmt 1 total 840 students = > inSUFF

stmt 2 75% applied -->INSUFF

both combined,

you get number of students applied,

from question stem, u can form an equation
.72M + .8F = .75(840)-------------eq.1

M + F = 840 ----------> eq.2

these two equations must be enough to get answer,
hence C.

Hi Kaly,
Not sure if u saw my previous response to your post. If u search each of these problems(typing in first line of aproblem etc..) using the search function of this forum or google u will find solutions to almost every problem.

This way u dont have to wait for a response since u said ur exam is coming up in a week or so.
