Height of the tree = 4
Each year increases by X
1st year = x+4
2nd year=2x+4, so on an so forth
4th year=4x+4
6th year=6x+4
At the end of 6th year the tree was 1/5 taller than what it was in 4th
Therefore,
(6x+4) - (4x+4) = 1/5(4x+4)
(6x+4) = 1/5(4x+4) + (4x+4)
(6x+4) = (4x+4)(1+1/5)
(6x+4) = (4x+4)*6/5
(4x+4)6/5 = (6x+4)
24x+24 = 30x + 20
6x = 4
x = 2/3
