Statement (1) RQ = RS .

That means angle <RQS = <RSQ

But x is the exterior for triangle RQS .

Hence <RQS + <RSQ = x

we know <RQS = <RSQ

thus <RQS = <RSQ = x/2

But we can not find x .

Insufficient .

Statement (2)

ST = UT

That means <UST = < TUS

again x is exterior angle to triangle UTS .

thus <UST + < TUS = x

and <UST = < TUS = x/2

Again we can not find x .

Insufficient .

Combine (1) and (2)

we know <RSQ = x/2 and we also know <TSU = x/2

Thus <RSQ + x + <TSU = 180 .

hence x/2 + x/2 +x = 180 .

We can get X .
