Since 9 is odd Box9 = 9x3 = 27
Since 6 is even Box6 = 1/2 * (6) = 3

Box9 x Box6 = 27 x3 = 81

From the options, straight away Box27 satisfies

I still don't see why box 27 will satisfy this problem... I am missing the logic here....

Can you please clarify...

27 is odd which means Box27 = 27x3 = 81 which is the same as what you started off with
