question from GmatPrep1

by sudi760mba » Wed Aug 13, 2008 9:12 am
For (m)=3m when m is odd and (m)=1/2m when m is even.

What is (9) * (6)=?

I figured (9)=3(9)=27 since 9 is odd.
I figured (6)= 1/2(6)=3 since 6 is even

so final answer is 27 *3 = 81.

don't know the actual answer but would this be correct?

Thanks.

(m)=3m when m is odd

ans is 81 which is (27)..... ( 27 is an odd number so (27) = 27 * 3 = 81)

The answer choices are with the bracket as its mentioned in the question.

Am i clear?
