Uncertain answers

by sandmandreams » Sat Oct 13, 2012 9:58 am
Hi

I took a full length a mock-test using the GMAT Prep Software and scored a 700 (Q 47 and V 39). Funny thing was I was rarely sure of my answers, especially the Verbal part and the DS questions. Did I just get lucky? Or is it entirely normal to go through the test being uncertain of your answers most of the time?

Thanks.

First, 700 is an excellent score - congratulations!

Second, yes it is it entirely normal to go through the test feeling uncertain of your answers. The computer adaptive nature practically ensures that, after only a few questions, almost everyone is struggling.

Hi

Thanks for the answer and the link Brent.

My GMAT is at the end of the month so I'm nervous. I've read the horror stories here where people got a 700+ on the Prep software then got only something like 570 in the actual GMAT.

Anyway, I'll take 2 more prep tests this week.

Hope I'll be giving a triumphant debrief as well by the end of the month. Haha.
