total = 500K

Qn profit > 150K??

A
total = 3 * material
so material = 500/3

but no info for profit and labor
so Insuff

B
profit > labor
nothing can be found from 500K
so Insuff

A+B
profit and labor = 1000/3

now we know [profit > labor]
that means

profit is certainly > 1000/6 = 500/3
had the two been equal
the profit would have been equal to labor and both equal to 500/3

500/3 is greater than 150K so Suff

had option B been
profit < labor
than ans would have been E

Hope this helps

Could u explain this portion a little more(in terms of how we get 1000/3 and 1000/6?

Total 500K

material = 500/3 [please assume all Ks]

so labor + profit = total - material
= 500 - 500/3
= 1000/3

and if both are equal than each shall be
1000/(2*3)
= 1000/6

Hope this helps

Cost are only Labour and Material

let material be M, Labour be L and Profit be P

total cost = M + L

Profit = 500,000 - (M + L)

is P > 150000
or is 500000 - (M + L) > 150000
M + L < 350000

1> total Cost = 3*M
M+L = 3M
L=2M
Insufficient

2> P > L
500000 - (M + L) > L

insufficient

combined

we know from 1 that L = 2M and that P = 500000 - 3M

putting this in 2, we get 500000 - 3M > 2M

one variable. Solve for M

SUFFICIENT imo C
