Hello long time without be here again I will star my preparation, because I have to stop it some time ago due to works issues. Anyway…
You should to plan the problem
H M Q
4 6 500
X 3 3000
NOW EVALUATE EACH ONE SEPARATLY.
H M
4 6
X 3
Do you thing that if I increase the number of machines the time will be increased also?
The answer is not… so this relation is inverse. (If that is inverse the rule says that machines order change).
The new relation is:
H M
4 3
X 6
Now evaluate
H Q
4 500
X 3000
Do you thing that if I increase the number of machines the quantity will be increased also? The answer is YES… so this relation is Direct. (If that is DIRECT the rule says that order DOES NOT change). The relation remains the same.
Finally our new problem is:
H M Q
4 3 500
X 6 3000
NOW RESOLVE USING THE USUAL CROSS METHOD. SIMPLY ARIMETHIC.
(4x6x3000)/(Xx3x500)= 4 hours 48 min

can it also be done as below:
4 machines take 6 hrs for 5000 pgs so
1 machine will take 24 hrs for 5000 pgs
therefore,
3 machines will take 8 hrs for 5000 pgs
for 3000 pages 3 machines will take 5000/ 3000 * 8 = 4 hr 48 mins
