When is the best time to take the real GMAT after GMAT Prep?

Hi!

Other things being equal, we recommend that Kaplan students book their actual GMAT for 2-4 weeks after the last class and write their Ultimate Practice Test 1-2 weeks before the actual GMAT.

The Kaplan course is designed so that students peak 2-4 weeks after the last class. Of course, personal schedules have a big impact on how long it takes you to get ready (which is why our Higher Score Guarantee allows students who don't feel ready to repeat the course for free), so there will be some variation.
