so the takeaway for this question is that, we can plugin #s for a and b and regardless of the length of the line, the midpoint is going to be the same? right?

The midpoint between two points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) is ( (x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2 )

Here midpoint is (1/2,1/2)

so is my takeaway right?

since the line is going to at an exact place but just the length of it going to vary depending on a and b proportionally, the midpoint will always be the same?
