hundredths digit of a decimal

1: 10ths digit of 10d is 7.

10d = xxx.7xx
=> d = xx.x7xx
Thus hundredths digit of d is 7 is greater than 5. Sufficient.

2: thousandths digit of d/10 is 7

d/10 = xxx.xx7xx
=> d = xxx.x7xx
Thus hundredths digit of d is 7 is greater than 5. Sufficient.

Hi Shovan,

Pls clarify this concept to me...
if the number is abce.xyz, then the tenths digit will be "c"

similarly, the thousandths digit should be "a". Let me know where I am wrong.

The Question is asking for the tenths of a decimal.

Let abcd.xyz be the decimal then tenths digit is x, hundredths digit is y, thousandths digit is z.
Where as d is Unit digit, c is Tens digit (Not tenths), b is Hundreds digit (Not hundredths)
