Area of equilateral triangle = 1/4*sqrt(3)*a^2 = 9/4*sqrt(3)

Triangle ABE is a 30-60-90 triangle with sides in ratio 1:sqrt(3):2
So area of ABE = 1/2*1*sqrt(3)

Area of quad = 9/4*sqrt(3) - 1/2*sqrt(3) = 7/4*sqrt(3)
