Question Stem:

Pigs + Cows = 40

Stmt I

There could be various possible answers to this statement
pigs = 10, cows = 30
pigs = 11, cows = 29
pigs = 1, cow = 39

Insufficient

Stmt II

farm has more than 12 pigs. it could be 13,14,15,16..... So we cannot be certain how many pigs or how many cows are there in the farm

Insufficient

Stmt I & II

the only value that satisfies both statements is 13 pigs and 27 cows.

sufficient

The Q stem says 2/3 or 40 is the number of either cows or pigs,
not the total of pigs and cow, which u have assumed.
So, your reasoning is not correct

From A: if cows>2(pigs),
then there are 2 options.
cows = 3*pigs, which means cows = 45, pigs =15
OR
cows = 4*pigs which means cows = 48, pigs =12
OR
cows = 5 * pigs, which means cows = 50, pigs =10
No concrete answer
So, insufficient

From B: nothing can be deduced about the no. of cows

Combining both,
pigs can be 15, then cows = 45

Hence, C is the answer.

According to you, if 40 is the number of pigs or cows, then why number of cows is 45?? and number of pigs is 15? Just trying to understand...
