Dear Experts,
Please help me with this question...
What is the value of y?
(1) 3|x^2 - 4| = y - 2
(2) |3 - y| = 11
My approach:
Statement 1: Insuff as there are 2 variables
Statement 2: Insuff
3-y = 11, 3 - y = -11
=> y = -8, 14
Both: Substituting values of y from statement no. 2 into statement no. 1 doesnt help to solve for y. Hence my answer is E, however the correct answer is C.
Please help,
Thanks in advance,
