1) nk=0
2) n-k=0
Statement 1: Either n or k or both are zero.
If either n or k is equal to zero, (n + k) ≠ 0
If both are equal to zero, (n + k) = 0

Not sufficient

Statement 2: n is equal to k.
If n = k = 0, (n + k) = 0
If n = k ≠ 0, (n + k) ≠ 0

Not sufficient

1 & 2 Together: n = k = 0
Hence, (n + k) = 0

Sufficient

The correct answer is C.
