Princeton Quantitative1 Q10

by sandeep_chhabra » Sun May 11, 2008 3:20 am
Shouldnt the answer be 19??

Distance from y axis to A = 7
Distance from A to B = 12 (Using Pythagoras Theorem where hypotenuse =13, base=5)

so total distance from y axis to B = 7+12=19 -- The X-Cordinate of point B

Am i wrong?

I'm going to go out on a limb and agree with you on this one; I think it should be 19. My guess is that whoever was writing the test forgot that you needed to add the 7 from the Y axis to Point A.
