the idea of gmat came into my mind in july when i started working..
thought over it for months but didnt do anything
in november i started reading articles on the web, in search of inspiration
on jan 14 i took a date for gmat..
the first two three days i collected various gmat prep materials.. i was pretty confident about my math skills and i knew i needed to work on my verbal part esp grammar and logic
the materials i collected were:
og 10
og 11
kaplan verbal 800 book
gmat prep software
manhattan sc guide
a few online resources etc
till jan 26 i was done with OG11
my general accuracy was around 80-85% in verbal and 90-95% in math
jan 26 to feb-16
i read the manhattan sc guide (its the bible for gmat verbal SC).. thoroughly practiced all the problems mentioned at the end of the chapters.. i could feel a big diff in my confidence levels after i was done with the book
i went through kaplan 800.. this book helped me improve my performance in general.. i would recommend it to all gmat aspirants..
feb 16-march 3
i wrote a few tests.. the details of these tests are mentioned in my signature.. then i practiced a lotta problems on learnhub question bank..
my avg scores improved from around 680-690 to 730-720
march 3- march 17
i this period the first thing i did was to revisit each and every question in the og11.. next i wrote some more tests.. i would say that reviewing every question after the test is very very imp..
march 17-april 2
in these days i read and wrote a lotta essays from the gmat topics pool..
essays are an im part that ppl usually forget
april 3- april 12
wrote gmat prep 2 and just revised the questions in og11 once again. i also re-read the sc guide and other pdfs that i had used.
april 14(d-day)
had a light breakfast.
reached the center 40 minutes before my appointment
the essays were pretty good
i felt good
then came the math sec which i thought was a bit tough but anyway i was very careful as it hurts a lot when one commits silly errors
then came the verbal section.. i was a bit tensed but after a few qs thins became easy ..
finally when i reported my scores, i was surprised to see 770 as only once i had reached 750 in one of my mocks
thank u all once again
feel free to mail / message me

wow, you did better on the actual thing than on any of your practises?
I would have jumped up and down and had to be escorted out of the room for causing a disturbance.
