Hi future cpa,
I'm hoping that you can provide a bit more self-assessment...
What aspects of algebra/math are you having problems with:
1) Are you comfortable with the "math" steps that you have to do? Are you "rusty" or making silly mistakes?
2) Do you know the formulas/patterns that come with algebra (FOIL, factoring, Quadratics, etc.)?
3) Are you able to correctly "translate" sentences into "math"?
4) Are these problems exclusive to algebra questions (meaning that you're fine with other types of math)?
For some excellent help with general math (algebra, arithmetic, etc.), you can visit Khan Academy (
www.khanacademy.org). It's a FREE site that can reteach you all of the necessary math skills that you'll need for the GMAT. Keep in mind that there are plenty of GMAT strategies/tactics/patterns that you also have to learn, but that's a different issue.
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
