[I arrived at the center early.I had my ID with me. Here started all my problems. They wouldn't admit me to the test because of my ID. I presented my valid Texas driver`s license, the woman even didn't look at it,and said that if you are not a US citizen, you need present your passport. I dint have passport with me,and an opportunity to go back home for the passport, because i live 45 min from the center. I was asking her if something I can do about it, ask my husband to bring passport during the test, send fax copy, just to be admitted for the test. But she said they can not help me,because of GMAT rules. I called customer service, they said the same. ]

I got the same issue, just yesterday.
I was having complication signing up for GMAT, and caused me to missed the first date choice that I selected. I ended up registering at a later date, and can barely read through what I chosed. Most of the registration email me a detail list of the selection you made. I accidentally chosed the wrong country of citizenship, plus, mba.com emphasized only on the exact name, signature, birthdate, current mailing address, and recognizable picture.

I actually received an email from pearson last year when I sign up for the test last year to bring my passport.

So I brought my driver license with me to the test, and counter woman tells me that I need to bring my passport, and I only have 15 minutes to go get the passport for the test or she will not admit me for the test. Not even if my bf go and get the passport for me and let me admit to the test first.

I told her that I am the citizen of the United States, but she says I chosed my citizenship as other country, so I need to show her the passport. She also mentioned that if I have chosen United States as the citizenship, then driver license will be a valid ID??? She provided the number for me to call the GMAT customer service. The customer service is not much of a help either. The only thing that they can say is: there's nothing that can be done at this point. You will have to reschedule your test and pay another $250.00

I still battling with GMAT call center. One of them even just hang up on me. GMAT people are cheaters!

They should write an email five days before hand to anyone who signed up for the test to inform them what to bring, not just keep telling people everything is written on the website, go check up yourself. We are paying for their service. GMAT: Do what you are supposed to do!

US permanent residents, next time, just chose US as your country of citizenship, then ID should be valid, at least according the woman at the test center.
