Need Help with GMAT books

Hi I just finished my undergraduation last month and started to research about the GMAT and that was when I came across this website. I gave a practice GMAT on the Manhattan GMAT and got a score of 480 (Q32,V25) that pretty much shows I have lot to improve. I have a lot of time in my hand before I will finally apply for the MBA schools but nevertheless want to start working GMAT from now itself. I want to buy some GMAT books but I see that there are lot of books out there and has got me a little confused. May I have have some recommendations on which books to purchase looking at the current situation. Any other recommendation would also be great

Hi Sanchit_Rao,

Since you're not trying to rush through this process, you can take some time and explore the variations practice resources. You'll probably want to purchase the GMAC Official Guide (a new version is scheduled to come on in June, but the current version is still a useful book for practice). Many GMAT companies also offer free online resources (practice questions, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) so that you can 'test out' a product before you buy it.

Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies; during that time, it's common to spend 10-15 hours per week (or more) on the process. Studying for the GMAT is a big task, but it can be broken down into little pieces and planned for.

Your study material should contain gmat preparation tips for ball question types for both Quant & Verbal.

- The Official Guide for GMAT Review contain gmat questions from the test taking body GMAC.

- The Official Guide is accompanied by The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review 2015 and The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review 2015.

- Among the best books for gmat preparation is The Princeton Review - Cracking the GMAT Premium Edition with 6 Computer-Adaptive Practice Tests.

- It is important that the best gmat books contain gmat questions for practice. These gmat sample questions should be not only in the books for gmat preparation but also online tests & drills. For gmat sample questions students can use 1037 Practice questions by The Princeton Review.
