Hopelessly Frustrated

by drphoebejigs » Tue Feb 10, 2009 2:57 pm
So I just took a prep test using MBA.com’s CAT software and, unfortunately, didn’t do so hot (to put it mildly)—(Q:39) (V:40). This wouldn’t be a big deal except that I’ve been studying math pretty much non-stop for the past six months. I’m kinda at my wit’s end here. I’ve really tried to focus on math, since I haven’t done much since college (I took the LSAT and did well, so Verbal is not really a priority).

As far as studying goes, I own the O.G. 11, OG quant, Kaplan PP 2009, Princeton Review Math Workout and use a plethora of sites recommended in this forum. I’ve used a ton of the info on this site, but at this point I just don’t know where to go.

I know I’m coming across as entitled, but I don’t know how else to convey my frustration. Clearly I don’t have my fundamentals down well enough, so I think I need to take a step back and find out a way to work smarter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried with other party opinion? like if you do a diagnostic test with kaplan, for example, they give you details what are your weak areas. then you can concentrate on them and bring up your Q score?
I know your feeling, I am struggling with math myself. but i won't give up! :)
