Hi All,

I have been looking into writing the GMat test and took a practice exam (Prior to any studying) and scored 640. Is it possible to raise your score a lot through studying? I don't want to write if I am going to get less than a 700 as my undergrad marks weren't all that impressive. Any thoughts?

Interesting side note: My quant mark brought me down and I am a math person :s. My undergrad is a honours math degree. Guess I need to brush up on my basics again lol.

640 is pretty darn good for a first score --with no prep. And yes you can absolutely increase your score by studying...

You are ahead of the game on the math section. I think you'll probably need to find faster methods to solve problems (if that's an issue) and learn a solid strategy for data sufficiency.
my post helped --> thank me!
