would go with A.
idiom X as well as Y, X as Y needs to be parallel. for women as well as for men makes it parallel

have no good reason to eliminate the others, the use of the idiom seems proper in A

"and", "as well" as both used as conjunctions. "and" joins two independent clauses. "as well as" cannot join two independent clauses.

"and" requires use of plural verbs."as well as" does not change the number of the original subject

Perfect. How about

Optional :

E) and for men

for this question. Would you still choose A ?

i would go with E

And / as well as

As well as-- in addition to

eg: I like Ron,PS and stacey as well as logitech.

And

eg: I like Ron,PS,Stacey and logitech.

If "as well as" is used as "equally well"

then "As well as" should modify the verb.

Eg:I dance as well as play guitar.

i hope this helps.

whats d OA??

very tricky. nothing wrong with "for women and for men". the less wordier version would have been "for women and men" . (for understood)

could you give an example?
The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.
