Minivans carry as many as seven passengers and, compared with most sport utility vehicles, cost less, get better gas mileage, allow passengers to get in and out more easily, and have a smoother ride.

Hi Nikhil. My take:

We are comparing Minivans to Sport Utility Vehicles. The minivans' properties should be listed in parallel. The end of the sentence (not underlined) gives us a big clue by showing the end of the list of minivans' properties: they "get...allow...and have". thus the list should start with "Minivans carry...cost..." to match the end. Only one answer starts the list properly. All the others must be incorrect

The answer is A. A more detailed discussion and a video solution can be found at GMATPrep Question 2022. To practice similar questions, set topic='modifiers' and difficulty='600-700'
