I will go with A

Proportion which is singular so C is out as it uses "THEY"
D E .. Use WHICH incorrectly
B compares proportion to any previous election

Is it A.

D & E - incorrect use of 'which'
C - Incorrect use of 'they' to refer to costs

B/w A & B, A correctly uses pronoun It to refer to costs.

costs is plural so it cannot refer to costs.

B remains.

IMO B.

B does the correct comparison of plural pronoun e.g.

a greater proportion than (they have) in any previous election.

Option A incorrectly uses 'it'. It refer to television costs, which is plural.

Whats the OA?

soaring television costs is the subject of the first clause, and is plural. Therefore, they is required over it. B is the next best choice but it is too vague for the gmat
