At the same time , if i am planning to apply for Fall 2011 , how good is my chance for getting admitted in the below mentioned b schools .

Goizueta Business School
Australian Graduate School of Management
Lancaster University Management School
SDA Bocconi
University of Maryland
National University of Singapore
University of Toronto
University of Melbourne
University of Arizona

Kelley School of Business

2. With a good recommedation letter and Essay along with the above profile which range of universities can i target ? . can i focus on schools ranking between 20 to 30 , world wide . please shed some light on this as well .

3. I have shortlisted these universities based on my chances to get an admit and at the same time their tuition fees . I strongly believe that if i retake GMAT and obtain a score above 700 or close to 700 my chanve of getting into schools like UCLA, DUKE, NYU and Cornell will be fine. But i cannot afford the tuition fees that these school require . So at any situation i will apply only for the above listed universities .

With the above situation , please suggest me if i will have to retake GMAT or is my present score fine for applying to the above schools.

I thank you for your time and patience to evaluate my profile . Require your valuable suggestions .[

Your GMAT score is on the low side, even for the schools on your list. It would be great if you could bring it up 30-40 points. Obviously that would require focusing on the verbal. You might consider using a tutor to identify those areas where you are consistently missing questions so that you can fix those areas, thereby fixing several questions at once. Just working with individual questions is not the answer. You need to identify trends. If you find a concept that you are regularly missing and correct it you will correct several questions at once.

You are right that you are in a very competitive group. Many of the Indian applicants will have scores in the mid-700s. That doesn't mean you will be shut out of schools with a rank of 20-30. The fact that you are working in the human resources area rather than a strictly technical area should work in your favor. If you are interested in human resources as a career, it would be worthwhile to check out which schools have a strong focus in that area. They will be more useful to you and more interested in your background.

Good luck. A higher GMAT will certainly expand the range of schools for which you have a great chance of acceptance. Let me know how it goes.
