700 (48Q, 38V): need advice on whether to take it again

Hi folks,
I just took the GMAT for first time and got a 700 with about 8 weeks of prep; I was a bit disappointed as I was scoring in 7320-730 range in various online tests. I have 6 yrs experience in Healthcare and my target schools for part-time MBA are Kellogg, UCLA, Berkeley, and Wharton (in no particular order). I am in two minds whether to take the GMAT again in a month or focus on my essays as the deadlines are in a couple of months. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Congrats for your score! I think you should be good with your current score because you're targeting part time programs, which are less competitive than full time programs. You also have a distinct profile because you work in healthcare and this is not a traditional source field.

@haresh29 Congrats on ur score!! I wud agree with DanaJ. I think 700 is a good enough score for the part time MBA..

I agree with the above folks, I think 700 should be good enough for part time programs.

700 is a decent score, and it would be good if you concentrate on your essays, and lor's .

You can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink !!!

Congratulations for the score! If other parts of your application are fine I don't see any reason why you would retake the test. After all, you fit in 80% median score range for top business schools.
