Right time to take GMATPREP

by GoBlue » Mon Jan 25, 2010 5:07 pm
When is the right time to take GMATPrep 1. I have done a couple MGMAT's, a PR and an 800score CAT. I really want to evaluate exactly where I am at. Do you think now is the best time for me to take GMATPrep 1. Also, once I am done with the test can I recycle it or reinstall it to get different questions. Would the question bank in any way affect the second GMATPrep 2 test.

I don't think the two question banks overlap between the first and second test, but after you finish both test, those are all the questions that you get from gmac. Most people save those CATs until they are close to taking the actual test, but if you think it would aid you in your prep take them whenever.

If you want to retest yourself without using those exams yet... you can reset the MGMAT tests, but if you get to a recycled question then just make a tally on your paper and tell yourself to knock 2 minutes off your time... you may get some new questions in there....

Go Blue, are you a Michigan alum? If so, what are your impressions of Ross?

No, I am not a "BLUE" YET. Am targetting for Ross PT. Don't have incredible extra cirric's, or 4.0 GPA. Hence targetting for 700 on GMAT and hoping that my 5 years of work exp gets me through.

From my research Ross seems to be one of the programs that likes 5 plus years of work experience, so that should give you a leg up on applicants with less experience.
