I cant figure out an easier way. Above all, with answer choices so close i dont think there is an easier way of getting the answer.hakyology wrote:If it is 6:27 in the evening on a certain day, what time in the morning was it exactly 2,880,7171 minutes earlier? If a question like this appears on the GMAT, I am guessing and moving on unless it is the last question in quant section. I dont want to ruin my verbal.
Anyway, if anybody find an easier way pls do help.
In which book did you find such a question.

There is something wrong with the question, or with the answer choices. If you take away anything ending in 1 from anything ending in 7 (assuming everything is positive), the answer will end in 6. None of the answers ends in 6. In any case, 2,880,7171 is not proper notation for a number!hakyology wrote:If it is 6:27 in the evening on a certain day, what time in the morning was it exactly 2,880,7171 minutes earlier? Hi hakyology,
I think you made a typing mistake here. In the other link that Ian mentioned the last digit is 7, your question has an extra 1 in the end and that is not possible with any of the options here.
Can you please check.
Regards,
