Need Help

by Reshu » Thu May 10, 2012 4:00 pm
I had given GMAT last year in September, with only a month of dedicated prep, ended with a score of only 490. I was disappointed and wanted to re-attempt it but somehow couldn't get the courage. I am now again starting to prepare for it. I plan to devote 2+ months and give it a shot by July. The problem I am facing is that I am very intimidated to think of scoring low again..lots of ifs and buts coming to my mind which results in bad concentration and then I easily get distracted. I am taking way too long to study each topic and not able to manage my day well.

Please guide as to what should I do to improve and get less distracted and what should I do to keep myself motivated in this run. I sincerely need help as there is no one in this location I can join and do group study with. All alone it looks like a toll, but thankfully, I figured beatthegmat forum very recently where I can ask and find lots of material to learn.

My GMAT 1st attempt score
AWA: 5
Verbal: 22
Quant: 24

Targeting score for 2nd attempt : 720 or higher.

Material I am using:
MGMAT for SC, RC, CR and Quant
Official guide 13th edition

Please help/guide me make a good strategy for myself.

Thanks!

hey guys can u help me with this !!!

I have taken Gmat twice and am yet struggling to get 700 + mark.

if i take it for the 3rd time ; then do b-schools take the average of all the given test or the best of 3 attempts.

Need this information does it depend from region to region or from b-school to b- school if so plese provide me the link from where i can confirm it.

thank you so much

jai.
