Restarting My Study Plan

by BT285 » Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:03 am
I took the GMAT 3 times last winter / spring (660, 640, 660). My strong suite is verbal, but I feel I under-performed on quant. Unsatisfied with my score, I have decided to take up studying again in an attempt to obtain a >700 score.

For my previous study regiment, I took the MGMAT course, studied all the materials (MGMAT books and supplied OG books) and took all the practice tests (basically averaged high 600s, low 700s). I also took the two GMATprep test (670, 730). About a month ago, when I decided to start studying again, I was enticed by the money back guarantee of Knewton, but have been decidedly underwhelmed by the product.

At this point, I feel that I have somewhat exhausted my previous study materials and feel unsure of how to successfully restart studying. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to begin again? I'm thinking of purchasing the bank of MGMAT tests again since they have a nice diagnostic tool, and then studying off of my weak areas. I'm a little hesitant to do this, though, since following that same path the last time did not result in my wanted score. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

I think you should go through a more comprehensive quant course either with a tutor (classes) or online. You need to take notes concerning your weak subjects and make sure that you cover a lesson on each of them. The OG and tests are great tools to test your knowledge after you have gone through the theory.
