I have all the MGMAT books and OG 11. Do you think if I study 2 hours on weekdays and 8-10 hours on weekdays, then I don't need to take the class. I am debating to take the class because of the cost. If I study on my own, do you think I should be able to get at least a 650 using these materials?

ashish2104: I thought that SC wasn't unusual at all and tested similar properties to what was in OG and GMAT Prep. As people have said time and time again, the MGMAT SC book is really good for this section of Verbal. I would say that pattern recognition is particularly important for SC.

skins81: It totally depends on the person. I would say that the amount of time studied is only one factor in getting a good score, it sounds completely cliche, but it really is how you study rather than how much you study. I think I wasted months on repetitive OG questions and didn't learn much from mistakes. Getting questions right in practice is an ego boost that often times doesn't translate over in the actual test. Practice the common topics you are terrible at (or semi-terrible at). It's completely de-moralizing during practice, but better to get it wrong in practice rather than on the real thing.

Did you get CR and RC questions as comparable to the ones in last few questions of OG .. and did you get any idioms constructions based question in SC .. Is it possible to share your flashcards..
