Let side = a

Volume = a^3 = 6

Sides twice as long = 2a

volume = (2a)^3 = 8a^3 = 8x6 = 48

(A)

Let the side of original block = a
Then volume = a^3 = 6
Side of new block = 2a
Then volume of new block = (2a)^3 = 8a^3 = 8*6 = 48
The correct answer is (A).
