Final days of Prep help!

Hi

I'm sitting my GMAT Test on Tuesday 7 October and still need to get my QUANT scores up as they are nowhere near where I need them to be in order to get into the schools I want to.

Is there anything you could suggest for some last minute desperate cramming/strategy/tutoring? I'm willing to try anything and everything. Not sure what will help me at this stage but I want to give it everything I've got!

Hi Tash,

You've asked a broad question without providing much information, so I'd like to know a bit more about your studies thus far:

1) How long have you studied?
2) What resources have you used to study?
3) How have you scored on your practice CATs (please include the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What is your goal score?
5) After reviewing your most recent CAT, how many questions did you get wrong because of a silly/minor mistake?
6) Do you have pacing problems during the Quant section? Do you have to guess on a bunch of questions at the end just to finish (or do you ever leave some questions unanswered?)?
7) Are you going to retest if you don't score at an acceptable level?

Since your Official GMAT is less than 5 days away, there probably isn't anything that you can do to radically change the way you "see" and react to the Quant section. With more time, you'd be able to learn, practice and get comfortable with some new tactics, but the type of "cramming" that might have helped you in college won't work here. That having been said, if you can fix the little mistakes that have been happening during your CATs, then you could see a nice bump up in your Quant (and overall) Score.
