can some one tell me what is this notation ^ fo r?? i have never done maths with this notation..i am sure we must be using something else but how the heck you get (9/10)^10 =0.384..sorry for acting like a geek

"^" means to the power of

e.g 10^2 means 10 raise to the power 2 i.e. 100
