I scored a 710 yesterday (q49 v38) on my Gmat prep yesterday . My test is three weeks away and I am wondering what requires to be done in order to sustain this level of performance . ?
I am done with the OG 12 and the Verbal Review .

Take 2 practice tests a week. That will help you build the stamina to handle test day. Review your current and each test to understand the mistakes you made and prevent them from happening again.

Test day pressure can easily lower your score on the real test. So dont read too much into the 710.
While GMAT Prep is a good indicator, you should allow it a correction of +-30 points.

Take MGMAT Tests. You get 6 with each book or you can buy it separate. It will help you. Also, make sure you take the AWA with the practice tests.

i got a PM from you -- you said that this exam was a retake?
if so, how many repeated questions did you see?

repeated questions have a HUGE influence on your score; in fact, each repeated question can add 10 or more artificial points to your score. therefore, even if you only saw a handful of repeated questions, this score is not meaningful.
the other experiences of the test -- such as the time management and the content review -- will still be helpful, but a retake score is basically not a useful gauge of anything.

To maintain my performance I did 15 problem solving, 15 data sufficiency, 10 sentence correction, 10 critical reasoning, and 2 reading comp passages a day for the last 8 days before my exam. My last practice test was 710 on gmatprep 2 49q/38v, my real test score was 710 49q/38v.

1. How much gap is recommended between practice CATs
2. How much time would be ideal for review and brush up.( Although, it depends on the performance, Presuming for a consistents 650 scorer) .

Because i read in many of the posts about Burnouts - because of taking many CATS back to back.

Get the MGAMT and start giving tests every 2-3 day. Thoroughly review the test and make sure you understand the mistakes you are making. Your last test should be 4-5 days before the real GMAT. Practice about 5-10 questions from each section on these days. DO NOT STUDY one day before the exam. Keep your mind off the exam. Watch some inspirational movies if you have to. I would recommend Forrest Gump and The pursuit of happyness. Sleep well before G-day. On the day of the exam practice about 5 questions in the morning just to kick start your brain, DON'T LOOK AT THE ANSWERS of these questions. Be confident and visualize a good score. I am sure you will manage to sustain your performance.

How many Crs,Scs , Rcs did you do on an average day when you were still 45 days away from the real GMAT

Mundah, 45 days prior to the test I was just doing general content review. Covering the Manhattan GMAT guides and following the self-study syllabus. Once I finished the 9th week worth of course material I did the OG from last question to first on PS, DS, and SC. Then started my regiment that I posted about 15/15, 10/10/2.

You are the first guy on BTG who pronounced my Username properly , that too , inspite of not being a Punjabi. LOL
So how many days away from the GMAT were you when you started the OG exercises . Did you only go through reading before you started the OG ?

If you start 10 days prior to the exam with the routine, taking one day between to take a full practice exam, you will have enough problems in the two supplemental guides to sustain that regiment for the entire period. I have actually done all problem solving, data sufficiency, and sentence correction questions in the OG probably three times each at different periods. I'm not sure how you are preparing right now but focusing on building the general broad content proficiency and working on your weak areas... then once you're comfortable, you should be able to recognize most of the traps and tricks in the questions you see. When I took the actual exam, based on all the practice I had been doing over the prior two weeks, no question was really that shocking to me. On the quant section, it was just like cruise control in your car, all the questions were different but all the topics and approaches were the same. On verbal, well, had I not finished the verbal section with 17 minutes left (got anxious and just wanted to finish) I think I would of scored a bit higher than the 38 I received. However, much like quant, you'll recognize the pattern.
